Bop-User Privacy Policy


BOP platform operator (hereinafter referred to as "we") attaches great importance to the privacy and personal information protection of users, and thank you for your trust in us. We will take corresponding security protection measures in accordance with the requirements of laws and regulations, try our best to protect the security and controllability of your personal information, and provide you with reasonable and efficient privacy protection. Therefore, we have formulated this "Privacy Policy" (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy" or "this Privacy Policy") to explain how we collect, use, store, protect and disclose your information, and inform you of your rights.
This policy applies to the BOP platform and other Internet products developed and operated by the BOP platform and its affiliates. However, other products may have independent privacy policies and different provisions from this policy in terms of collecting, using, storing and protecting user information. In this case, these provisions shall apply. For users under the age of 14, this policy and the "Children's Privacy Protection Statement" shall apply at the same time.
This privacy policy does not apply to services provided to you by other independent third parties, nor does it apply to products or services on the BOP platform that have separate legal statements and privacy policies. When a third party on our platform provides you with services based on our platform, the personal information you provide to the third party is not subject to this Privacy Policy.
Before using our products or services, please read and fully understand this Privacy Policy, especially the terms marked in bold, which may involve your important rights. You should read carefully and use the relevant products or services only after confirming that you fully understand and agree. Once you start using the products or services we provide, it means that you have fully understood and agreed to the contents described in this policy.


BOP platform: refers to the BOP website and client.
BOP platform service: BOP platform operator provides you with various services based on the Internet in various forms including BOP platform website, client, etc. (including new service forms arising from future technological development). If a user logs in or uses the products or services of an affiliated company of the BOP platform operator, and the affiliated products or services do not have an independent user service agreement and privacy policy, this privacy policy also applies to those products or services.
BOP platform operator: BOP platform user: hereinafter referred to as "you" or "user", refers to the individual or organization that registers, logs in, uses, browses, and obtains the services under this agreement.
Personal information: refers to various information related to identified or identifiable natural persons recorded electronically or otherwise, excluding information after anonymization.
Sensitive personal information: refers to personal information that, once leaked or illegally used, is likely to cause infringement of the personal dignity of a natural person or endanger personal and property safety, including biometrics, religious beliefs, specific identities, medical health, financial accounts, whereabouts and other information, as well as personal information of minors under the age of fourteen.(We will use bold and underline to prominently mark specific sensitive personal information in this policy).
Deletion of personal information: refers to the act of removing personal information from the system involved in realizing daily business functions, so that it remains in an inaccessible and unretrievable state.
Unless otherwise agreed, the definitions used in this policy have the same meaning as those in the User Service Agreement.

I. How do we collect and use your personal information

When you use our products and/or services, we need or may need to collect and use your personal information, including the following two types:

(a) In order to provide you with the basic functions of our products and/or services, you must authorize us to collect and use the necessary information. If you refuse to provide the corresponding information, you will not be able to use our products and/or services normally;

(b) In order to provide you with additional functions of our products and/or services, you can choose to authorize us to collect and use information. If you refuse to provide, you will not be able to use the relevant additional functions normally or achieve the functional effects we intend to achieve, but it will not affect your normal use of the basic functions of our products and/or services.

We would like to remind you in particular:
1. We are committed to creating a variety of products and services to meet your needs. Because we may provide a wide range of products and services, different users may choose to use different specific product/service ranges, so the basic/additional functions and types and scopes of personal information collected and used will vary accordingly. Please refer to the specific product/service features.
2. In order to bring you a better product and service experience, we are constantly working to improve our technology. Therefore, we may launch new or optimized features from time to time, which may require the collection and use of new personal information, or change the purpose or method of using personal information. In this case, we will explain the purpose, scope and use of the corresponding information separately by updating this policy, pop-up windows, page prompts, etc., and provide you with a way to choose your own consent. Only after obtaining your explicit consent can we collect and use it. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions during this process, you can contact us through BOP official customer service, and we will reply as soon as possible. .
3. The BOP and related services described in this policy may vary depending on factors such as the mobile phone model, system version, software application version, mobile client, etc. you use. The final products and services are subject to the BOP software and related services you use.

1. Information collected and used for basic functions

(a) Registration, login
When you register an account or log in to BOP, you need to submit some necessary information to us: your mobile phone number and the user name you created. After passing the registration verification and agreeing to this policy and the user service agreement, your account registration will be completed, and you will be able to use functions such as sending messages, giving virtual items, and posting comments on the BOP platform. If you do not agree to authorize or refuse to provide the above information, you will not be able to enjoy the functions and services of registered users.
During the registration process, if you provide the following additional information, it will help us provide you with better services and experience: avatar, nickname, gender, birthday, personal signature, hometown and occupation. However, if you do not provide this information, it will not affect the basic business functions of this service.
(b) Real-name authentication
When you want to use the real-name authentication feature or related services on the BOP platform, you need to complete real-name authentication in accordance with relevant national regulations. To ensure the authenticity of user identities and provide better security, the BOP platform verifies your real identity by connecting to facial recognition technology from Tencent Cloud/Alibaba Cloud. You agree and authorize the BOP platform and Tencent Cloud/Alibaba Cloud/AWS to perform the necessary real identity verification required for specific products and services using the ID information and facial biometric data you provide (both considered sensitive personal information). Bop uses facial data solely for user real identity verification. Your facial data will not be shared with any other platform, and Bop does not store sensitive facial data; biometric data is used only for verifying that you are a real person. The BOP platform/Alibaba Cloud/AWS will use industry-leading technology to protect your personal information, employing encryption, restrictions, and other methods to prevent its use for other purposes (except for matters you authorize separately). If the real-name authentication via AWS facial recognition fails, you can manually complete the authentication through BOP. We will collect your ID number, photos of the front and back of your ID, and your own photo. This information is sensitive, and its collection is required to comply with national regulations on real-name authentication. If you do not agree to provide this information, you will not be able to use the real-name authentication feature and related services on the BOP platform.
If your real-name authentication through Kuangshi facial recognition technology fails, you can manually perform real-name authentication through BOP. We will collect your ID number, photos of the front and back of your ID card, and photos of yourself. This information is sensitive and is collected to comply with national regulations on real-name authentication. If you do not agree to our collection of this information, you will not be able to use the real-name authentication function and related services on the BOP platform.
In addition, we will collect information related to the ID number of the real-name authenticated user, including name, gender, date of birth, and place of birth. The purpose of collecting this information is to provide relevant value-added services to real-name authenticated users. If you do not agree to our collection of this information, we will not provide you with relevant services, but it will not affect your use of other basic functions of the product.
(c) Browse, follow
When you browse content on the BOP platform, you can follow users you are interested in. For convenience, we will collect your device information when you use BOP, including device model, operating system version, device settings, IMEI/MEID/Android ID/IDFA/IDFV/OAID/MAC address/IMSI/ICID/UDID/GUID (i.e., device identifier), device name, device serial number, and device environment. (d) Information Release
You can post updates, comment and share other users' content on BOP. In the process, we will collect your device information, network access log information and user log information, including account number, operation time, operation record, network source address and destination address, network source port, client hardware characteristics, nickname, profile, comments, logo, and user information release, sharing and comment. When you use personal tags, dating preferences, updates, sounds and avatar/photo wall functions, the text, pictures, voice and video information you upload will be stored on our servers because storage is required to implement these functions. You can delete this information at any time. Unless you choose to do so or comply with the requirements of relevant laws and regulations, we will not provide the above information to the public or use it for purposes other than these functions.
Please note that the information you publicly post may involve personal information of you or others, even sensitive personal information. If you choose to upload text, pictures, voice or video containing personal information, please carefully consider whether to share or publicly share this information when using our services. If you do not agree with our collection of this information, please do not upload or post it. This will not affect your use of other basic functions of the product.

2. Information that needs to be collected and used for other functions

(a) Recharge consumption function
When you use the BOP recharge consumption function, we will collect your recharge consumption records so that you can view the transaction records and protect your property and virtual property to the maximum extent. During the payment process, we may collect your user ID (Alipay user ID, WeChat open ID or bank card information) from third-party payment channels. The above information is sensitive, but its collection is necessary to achieve the relevant functions; otherwise, the transaction will not be completed. We cannot obtain your personal property information based solely on this information, nor can we identify the identity of a specific natural person.
(b) Additional functions based on camera/camera Additional functions based on camera After turning on the camera permission, you can use this function to scan QR codes or read photos in the camera to identify and present QR code content and other services. You can also use auxiliary devices such as flash in scenes such as taking pictures and scanning codes, and use functions such as face recognition authorized by you in specific scenes. When you use this business function for face recognition, we will collect your facial features and use them strictly within the scope of your authorization and consent.
(c) Additional functions based on album access and uploading pictures/videos
You can use the relevant functions to upload your photos/pictures/videos after enabling permissions, so as to upload/change avatars, publish/share dynamics, communicate with customer service, and provide proof, etc. (d) Additional services based on microphone voice technology
After enabling microphone permissions, you can use the microphone to chat or record audio. In the process, we will collect your voice content. Please note that even if you have agreed to enable microphone permissions, we will only obtain voice information through the microphone when you actively click the microphone icon in the client.
(e) Apply to become an anchor
When registering to become an anchor, users need to provide a real avatar, relevant necessary personal user account data materials and real-name authentication. If real-name authentication is not performed, it is impossible to apply to become an anchor. When you apply to withdraw platform rewards (if any), you need to submit photos of the front and back of your ID card to verify your identity information. In addition, you need to provide your bank card number, account opening location and account opening branch to ensure that the amount you withdraw can be transferred to your account normally. If the above information cannot be submitted or is not submitted as required, the withdrawal function cannot be completed.
(f) Search
When you use the search service, we will collect your search keyword information and clipboard to provide efficient search services.
(g) Customer Service and Dispute Resolution
When you contact us or make a complaint, appeal or consultation, in order to protect the security of your account and system, we need you to provide necessary personal information to verify your real user identity. In order to facilitate contact with you, help you solve the problem as soon as possible, or record the solution and results of related problems, we may save your communication with us, correspondence/call records and related content (including account information, other information you provide to prove relevant facts, or contact information you leave). (h) Security
In order to ensure the safe operation of the software and services, protect network security, prevent cybercrime, identify abnormalities in your account and for anti-fraud purposes, we will collect your network access log information and user log information, device information, device location information (including IP address, GPS location and WLAN access points, Bluetooth and base stations that can provide relevant information, i.e. sensor information), software version number, network access method, type and status, operator, SSID and BSSID, network quality data, software installation list, running process information, overall operation of the application, overall installation and usage, performance data, application source and other log information (details of usage time and frequency, device statistics, key operation paths, error logs, crash records, language and time zone, Internet Protocol (IP) address, Internet Service Provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp and click stream data). (i) Provide personalized recommendation, display or push services
In order to analyze your preferences, habits and location characteristics in order to provide you with more suitable customized services, we will collect the following information from you:
1. Operation and usage behavior: We will collect information about your operations and usage habits, such as following, searching, browsing and sharing.
2. Interactive information: Interactive information you actively provide, such as feedback, publishing, likes, comments and rewards, will be stored on our servers because storage is necessary to achieve this function.
3. Device location information: With your explicit consent, we will collect device location information (IP address, GPS location, WLAN access point, Bluetooth and base stations that can provide relevant information, i.e. sensor information). GPS location information is sensitive. Refusing to provide this information will only prevent you from obtaining platform services based on GPS location, but will not affect your normal use of other functions. You can choose to be invisible nearby, clear location information, and show/hide the distance between you and other users through [My → Settings → Privacy Settings].
4. We will collect the names of applications running on the device and relevant information about applications running on the device.
Unless you authorize us or laws and regulations provide otherwise, we will not combine the above information with any personally identifiable information you provide in the application to ensure that you are not personally identified. We will combine the above information with information from our other services, perform feature and preference analysis through program algorithms, and perform indirect crowd profiling based on feature tags to provide you with personalized recommendations, displays or push specific parties, audio and video, users, dynamics and other information that you may be interested in, or push specific functions or services that are more suitable for you:
1. Show, recommend or push parties, audio and video that are more relevant to you;
2. Recommend users, audio and video and other information in related cities and regions;
3. Use the scope and method agreed in the "User Service Agreement" to push commercial information and invite you.
You can turn off the personalized recommendation service through [My → Settings → Privacy Settings].
(j) Additional functions based on local storage
By enabling local storage permissions, you can download some text, pictures, videos and other content cache data to your mobile phone storage, and upload your local pictures, videos and other data to BOP through mobile phone storage. (k) Additional functions based on address book information
You can authorize us to obtain your address book information so that you can find your address book friends. You can choose to hide your mobile phone address book through [My → Settings → Privacy Settings].

3. We may apply for device permissions

(a) In the process of providing services, in order to collect the above information and implement the above functions, we may need to apply for some device application permissions from you (see "Application Permission Application and Usage Description" for details). These permissions will not be enabled by default and will only be used to implement specific functions or services with your explicit authorization. You can also withdraw the authorization. It is particularly important to point out that even if we obtain these sensitive permissions with your authorization, we will not collect your information when the relevant functions or services do not require it. Please also be aware that we will use third-party SDKs for business and product functions and security needs. You may also use H5 pages or applets developed by third parties in our product process, and these third parties may also apply for or use relevant operating system permissions.

4. Information from third parties

(a) Third-party account authorization

When you register or log in to the product through a third-party account (WeChat, QQ, AppleID), we will obtain the public information of the third-party account you use to log in (including avatar, nickname, gender, age), and bind the account to your product account. This is to remember your login identity as a BOP user to provide you with better products and/or services. We will only collect and use your personal information within the scope of your authorization. If you do not agree to authorize or refuse us to obtain the above information, you will not be able to register or log in to the product through the third-party account, but it will not affect your normal use of other functions of the product. After you register or log in with a third-party account, your third-party account will be bound to your BOP account, but you can choose to unbind your account in [My → Settings → Account and Security], or contact BOP's customer service: [My-Online Customer Service]-enter "Manual Customer Service" to operate.
(b) Information shared by other users contains your information.

5. Sensitive Personal Information

(a) Before providing any sensitive personal information, please consider whether such regulations are appropriate and agree that your sensitive personal information may be processed for the purposes and in the manner described in this policy. We will collect and use your sensitive personal information with your consent to implement relevant business functions, and allow you to choose not to agree to the collection and use of such sensitive personal information, but refusing to use this information will affect your use of related functions.

6. Exceptions to Authorization and Consent

(a) According to relevant laws and regulations, we may collect and use some necessary personal information without your authorization and consent in the following circumstances:
1. Directly related to national security and national defense security;
2. Directly related to public safety, public health and major public interests;
3. Directly related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgments;
4. In order to safeguard the major legal rights and interests of you or other individuals, such as life and property, but it is difficult to obtain the consent of the relevant persons;
5. When you disclose the collected personal information to the public on your own;
6. When your personal information is collected from legally disclosed information, such as from legal news reports, government information disclosure and other channels;
7. Sign and perform contracts when necessary according to your requirements;
8. To ensure the safe and stable operation of BOP products and/or services, such as discovering and handling product or service failures;
9. Conduct legitimate news reporting when necessary;
10. When academic research institutions conduct statistical or academic research based on public interests and provide academic research results or descriptions to the outside world, the personal information contained in the results should be deleted;
11. Other circumstances stipulated by laws and regulations.
Please note that, in accordance with applicable laws, if we take technical measures and other necessary measures to process personal information so that the data recipient cannot re-identify a specific individual and cannot recover, the use of such processed data does not require additional notification to you and your consent.
If we stop operating BOP platform products or services, we will immediately stop collecting your personal information, notify you of the suspension of operations in the form of personal notifications or announcements, and delete or anonymize the personal information we hold related to the closed business.

II. How we use cookies and similar technologies

Cookies and device information identification and other similar technologies are commonly used technologies on the Internet. When you use Douyin and related services, we may use related technologies to send one or more cookies or anonymous identifiers to your device to collect and identify information when you visit and use this product. We promise not to use cookies for any other purpose other than those described in this policy. We use cookies and similar technologies mainly to achieve the following functions or services: (a) Ensure the safe and efficient operation of products and services:
● We may set authentication and security cookies or anonymous identifiers to confirm whether you have logged into the service safely or whether you have encountered theft, fraud or other illegal activities. These technologies also help us improve service efficiency and login and response speed.
(b) Help you have an easier access experience:
● Using these technologies can help you save the steps and processes of repeatedly filling in personal information and entering search content (for example, recording search history, filling in forms).
(c) Recommend, display, and push content or users that you may be interested in
1. We may use such technologies to understand your preferences and usage habits, conduct data analysis, improve product services, and recommend information or functions that users are interested in.
2. We may use cookies to record browsing activities for the purpose of recommending information to you, troubleshooting abnormal situations related to crashes and delays, and exploring better service methods.
(d) Clearing Cookies:
●Most browsers provide users with the function of clearing browser cache data. You can perform the corresponding data clearing operation in the browser settings. If you clear it, you may not be able to use the services or corresponding functions we provide that rely on cookies.

III. How we share, transfer, and publicly disclose your personal information

(a) Sharing:

1. Explicit consent to share:
●After obtaining your explicit consent, we will share your personal information with others.

VI. How we handle personal information of minors

BOP's products and services are intended for adults. If you are a minor, we recommend that you do not use our products and/or services. If you must use our products and/or services, you should read this policy in the presence of your guardian and ensure that you have obtained your guardian's consent before using our services and providing us with your information.
If your guardian does not agree to your use of our services or provision of information to us in accordance with this policy, please immediately terminate your use of our services and notify us in a timely manner. For the collection of personal information of minors with the consent of their parents or legal guardians, we will only use or publicly disclose this information when permitted by law, with the explicit consent of their parents or guardians, or when necessary to protect minors. VII. How do you manage your personal information

We prioritize the management of your personal information and are committed to protecting your rights to query, access, modify, delete, withdraw consent, cancel your account, complain and set privacy functions. This ensures that you can protect your privacy and information security.
(I) Change or revoke authorization
1. Change or revoke sensitive permissions:
● You can disable permissions for precise geolocation, address book, camera, microphone, photo album, and calendar in the operating system settings of your device. Changing or revoking these permissions will prevent us from collecting information related to these permissions.
2. Change or withdraw consent:
● To change or withdraw consent, please contact us using the details provided in the "How to Contact Us" section of Section 9 of this Policy.
3. Change or revoke information processing authorization:
● Certain business functions and services require your information. When you withdraw your consent or authorization, we will no longer provide the corresponding functions or services and will stop processing your relevant personal information. However, this will not affect the information processing that occurred before you withdrew your consent.
(II) Access, delete and modify your personal information
1. Access, correct/modify and delete personal account information:
●You can view and manage your avatar, nickname, hometown, gender, birthday, occupation, voice, signature, personal tags and dating preferences in [My Avatar Modify Personal Information].
2. Access, correct/modify and delete other personal information:
●Dynamics: Access and delete the dynamics you posted in [My Avatar Dynamics].
●Follow: View and manage the accounts you follow in [My Following]. Click "Follow" next to the account (if applicable), or visit the account homepage to unfollow.
●Account Binding: Access, correct/modify or bind mobile phone numbers, third-party accounts and secure mobile phone numbers in [My Settings Account Binding].
●Security and Identity Notes: You may not be able to modify certain submitted information directly. For such cases, please contact us using the details in the "How to Contact Us" section of Section 9. We will review and respond immediately after verifying your identity.
3. Control the visibility of information
●After we assist you in deleting the information, applicable laws and security technologies may delay immediate deletion from the backup system. We will securely store and isolate your personal information until the backup is cleared or anonymized.
(III) Cancel your account
You can apply to cancel your account in the following ways:
●Self-service application: Go to [My]-[Account Settings]-[Cancel Account] to apply.
●You must meet BOP's account cancellation conditions. BOP platform staff will confirm the cancellation after review. Please note that account cancellation is irreversible. Once cancelled, we will delete or anonymize your information, except as required by laws and regulations. All published content will be retained, but will be anonymous. Please delete any content yourself before applying for cancellation.
●Canceling your account does not exempt or reduce your responsibility for actions taken before cancellation.
(IV) Complaints and Reports
You can file a complaint or report through our publicly announced system. If you believe that your personal information rights have been violated or discover potential violations, please contact us using the details in the "How to Contact Us" section of Article 9.
(V) Responding to your request
When making a request, we may ask you to verify your identity to ensure account security. If you refuse to provide the necessary supporting materials, we may not be able to respond to your request.
Please understand that we may not be able to meet all requests due to technical limitations, legal or regulatory requirements. We will respond within a reasonable time.
According to the provisions of laws and regulations, we may not be able to respond to your request in the following circumstances:
1. Related to national security, national defense security, and national interests.
2. Related to public security, public health, and major public interests.
3. Related to criminal investigation, prosecution, case filing, trial, and execution of judgments.
4. There is sufficient evidence to show that you have subjective malice or abuse of rights.
5. Responding to your request will cause serious damage to the legitimate rights and interests of other individuals and organizations.
6. Involving trade secrets.

VIII. How to update this policy

To ensure that you can get better services and to adapt to the platform business adjustments and future development, this policy will also keep pace with the times and be updated accordingly. However, at the same time, we will obtain your authorization in a separate and obvious way, otherwise we will not reduce the rights you should enjoy under this privacy policy currently in effect.
We will remind you of the update of relevant content in a reasonable, appropriate and obvious way after the application or official website is updated or the platform issues an announcement, so that you can understand the change of your rights more quickly.
For major changes, we will also provide more obvious notification methods (we will express the updated content of the policy to you through methods including but not limited to emails, text messages, announcements, homepages or special reminders on browsing pages).
Major changes referred to in this policy include but are not limited to:
1. Major changes in our service model. Such as the purpose of processing personal information, the type of personal information processed, the way personal information is used, etc.;
2. Major changes in our ownership structure, organizational structure, etc. Such as changes in owners caused by business adjustments, bankruptcy and mergers and acquisitions, etc.;
3. Changes in the main objects of sharing, transfer or public disclosure of personal information;
4. Major changes in your rights to participate in the processing of personal information and the way they are exercised;

If you do not agree to the revised privacy policy, you have the right to stop using BOP's products and services immediately. Continuing to use BOP's products or services will be deemed to accept the changes to the policy.

IX. You can view and understand the device permissions applied by BOP through the following list:

1. READ_PHONE_STATE reads the phone status device IMSI/IMEI number) data: reads the device call status and identification code, identifies the mobile device ID and other mobile device identification information.
Please rest assured that this permission cannot monitor or obtain any of your call content and information. Purpose: Used to identify account anomalies, anti-cheating and other security functions
2.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE reads external storage) data: the function of reading data in the mobile phone storage space in specific scenarios.
